For a generalisation of this type of problem, see this … WebFeb 25, 2015 · I used Wolfram Alpha to solve the equation, and the result is: a = b-x*W (- ( (c-d)*exp (d/x-c/x))/x) where W is the is the product log function (Lambert W function). It might be easier to see it at the Wolfram Alpha page. I used the Matlab's built-in lambertW function to solve the equation. This is rather slow, and is the bottleneck in my script.

WebFrom the change of base theorem, log base a of b = (ln b)/ (ln a). For example, you can calculate log base 3 of 5 by calculating (ln 5)/ (ln 3) which should give approximately 1.465. (Note that if your calculator also has a log key, another way to calculate log base 3 of 5 is … Technically, since logarithms are part of Algebra 2, by regular USA standards, …
WebAs with exponential equations, we can use the one-to-one property to solve logarithmic equations. The one-to-one property of logarithmic functions tells us that, for any real numbers x > 0, S > 0, T > 0 and any positive real number b, where [latex]b\ne 1[/latex], Webthe answer is -2, 4 is 2^2 and 25=5^2 so 4/25 is the inverse of (5/2)^2 so its (5/2)^-2. to solve this you either have to just see how -2 would make everything line up, or plug it into a calculator with logs and then when the calculator says -2 justify why its exactly -2.
WebA logarithm of a number with a base is equal to another number. A logarithm is just the opposite function of exponentiation. For example, if 102 = 100 then log10 100 = 2. Hence, we can conclude that, Logb x = n or bn = x. Where b is the base of the logarithmic function. This can be read as “Logarithm of x to the base b is equal to n”. WebIntro to logarithm properties.
