Webb16 apr. 2024 · I was trying to play a video file .mov with Reaper using VLC decoder with no success. I had a picture, but the video completely freeze. Because I use 64 bits Reaper, I had to install the correct version 64 bits version of VLC. But the problem was still there. The solution was in the Preferences, in the video section uncheck. But doesn't play at all when loaded into Reaper. Totally silent. I'm using a UX2 machine plugged via USB into my PC. Anything I plug into my UX2 sounds fine - guitar, bass, keyboards, mike etc.

Webb12 nov. 2024 · In my experience when Reaper is disrupted from closing down, and a crash will satisfy that, failing to save on exit will wipe the settings. I've seen Reaper refuse to play before. In fact my Reaper is now in that state. You could somehow have disabled sound in the VST or might be trying to play notes outside the range of the VST instrument.
