Web1 Answer Sorted by: 4 A couple of remarks: The error with 1:levels (x) was a bug in ctree. The code should have been 1:nlevels (x). I just fixed this on R-Forge - so you can check out the SVN from there and manually install the package if you want to use the option now. (Contact me off-list if you need more details on this.)
